Grand Rapids Signs Santos for Next Season

May 3, 2016 - NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Grand Rapids Griffins have signed right winger Mathew Santos to a standard player's contract for the 2016-17 season, the American Hockey League club announced Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed. Santos just completed his overage season with the Ontario Hockey League's North Bay Battalion, posting career-high totals of 29 goals, 40 assists and 69 points in 64 games. Troops' Amadio Named Most Sportsmanlike

April 22, 2016 - NORTH BAY, Ont. - Centre Mike Amadio of the North Bay Battalion is the winner of the William Hanley Trophy as the Ontario Hockey League's most sportsmanlike player for 2015-16, it was announced Friday. April 19, 2016 - NORTH BAY, Ont. - Mathew Santos lingered long, but Jake Smith was the last member of the North Bay Battalion who played in Brampton to leave the ice after the team's Ontario Hockey League playoff elimination Thursday night. Defender Dineen Makes All-Rookie Team

April 18, 2016 - NORTH BAY, Ont. - Defenceman Cam Dineen of the North Bay Battalion has been voted to the Ontario Hockey League's All-Rookie First Team, it was announced Monday. Dineen, a Toms River, N.J., resident, led rookie defencemen in scoring with 13 goals and 46 assists for 59 points in 68 games.
