IceDogs Name Mantha Captain

September 22, 2016 - Congratulations to Ryan, Aaron, and Johnny! The Niagara IceDogs Head Coach Dave Bell is proud to announce that Ryan Mantha will be the team's captain for the 2016-17 season! Mantha, a native of Clarkson, Michigan was originally drafted by Sault Ste. Marie in the 5th round of the OHL Priority Selection in 2012. Since joining Niagara in 2014, Mantha has been a solid force on defense, while consistently contributing on offence with 25 points each season. Teepees Banner Raising Ceremony

September 21, 2016 - On Saturday October 1st at 7:00 pm the IceDogs are very excited to be raising the Memorial Cup Banner in honour of the St. Catharines TEEPEES. The TEEPEES were a junior hockey team based out of St. Catharines from 1947-1962. The TEEPEES were very dominant finishing first 5 times in the Ontario Hockey Association. The team was also league champions twice. Niagara IceDogs Win 5-4 in a Shootout

September 10, 2016 - The Niagara IceDogs closed out their preseason series against the Kitchener Rangers with a thrilling come from behind shootout win! The game was back and forth, and fast paced to start, which continued through the rest of the period. The IceDogs 2016 first rounder, Akil Thomas, had the best opportunity nearing the later part of the period off a partial break that was intercepted by a Kitchener defenseman.
