December 5, 2016 - ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 6-17-6-1 record (3-8-4-0 at home, 3-9-2-1 on the road, 1-6 in overtime, 1-1 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE will play four of their next five games on home ice beginning with a contest December 6 against REGINA. ICE Acquire Defenseman from Americans

December 4, 2016 - Cranbrook, BC - Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced the ICE have acquired Defenseman Kurtis Rutledge (June 2, 1997) from the Tri-City Americans in exchange for a seventh round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. "With the long term injury to Nikita Radzivilyuk we are down to six healthy defensemen and needed to add a body to our roster. November 21, 2016 - Cranbrook, BC --Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club today announced the Club has acquired 18-year-old Forward Jake Elmer from the Regina Pats in exchange for a ninth round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
