Storm Select Ryan Merkley with the 1st Overall Selection

April 8, 2016 - The Guelph Storm Hockey Club are pleased to announce Ryan Merkley as the 1st overall selection in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. Merkley, 15, played for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens last season recording 44 points as a defenceman in 33 regular season games, including 37 assists. He was most recently named the GTHL Player of the Year in March. Storm Signs Popovich to Standard Player Agreement

April 4, 2016 - The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that Anthony Popovich, the team's 7th round pick in 2015, has signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Storm. The Belleville native played for the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL this season, one of just two 16 year olds to make the roster. McEwan Named Storm MVP

March 23, 2016 - The Guelph Storm wrapped up another season in the Royal City on Tuesday night with the annual year end banquet. Hosted by the voice of the Storm and CJOY's own Larry Mellot, the team presented the annual awards during the event that was attended by over 200 guests. The evening ended with the presentation of the Glad Mowatt Most Valuable Player Award to forward James McEwan.
