September 4, 2016 - Sauget, Ill. - The Gateway Grizzlies beat the Evansville Otters by a final of 6-3 in front of the seventh largest crowd in GCS Ballpark history on Sunday evening. 7,255 fans packed the ballpark in the season finale of 2016. Gateway starter Will Landsheft tossed seven solid innings as he gave up just three runs on six hits. Landsheft (7-8) struck out seven batters while throwing 126 pitches. September 3, 2016 - Sauget, Ill. - The Gateway Grizzlies lost 9-1 to the Evansville Otters on Saturday night at GCS Ballpark, as Gateway's offense collected just one run on seven hits. September 1, 2016 - Sauget, Ill. - The Gateway Grizzlies fell 13-1 on Thursday night at GCS Ballpark as the Southern Illinois Miners took the rubber game of a three-game series. The Miners (61-32) scored five times in the first inning against Gateway lefty Jon Jones.
