Otters Expand Sales Staff and Finalize 2017 Front Office

January 16, 2017 - EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Fresh off a Frontier League championship in 2016, the Evansville Otters have finalized the team's front office staff for the 2017 season at Bosse Field. The staff will have an expanded sales workforce compared to recent seasons and three new hires are from the area. Josh "Hack" Wilson (Rockport, Ind. native) will serve as the Director of Group Sales. September 23, 2016 - EVANSVILLE, Ind. - After a stellar summer on the mound, Evansville pitcher Matt Wivinis has been signed by the New York Yankees. Wivinis, a Downers Grove, Ill. native and Eastern Illinois University product, finished the regular season 4-0 for Evansville with a 1.58 ERA. September 20, 2016 - EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Otters used pitching and defense to win Game Five, 1-0, clinching their second Frontier League Championship in team history on Monday night. Hunter Ackerman got the start for Evansville, and he was superb. Ackerman carried a no-hit bid into the seventh inning, but gave up a triple to Kyle Gaedele with one out in the inning. September 18, 2016 - O'FALLON, MO - After allowing five runs to score in the first inning, the Evansville Otters dropped Game Four, 7-5. The beginning of the game looked promising for Evansville, as Josh Allen got his first home run of the 2016 postseason with one out in the top of the first inning.
