Otters Lose Rubber Game

July 21, 2016 - EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Otters and the Lake Erie Crushers both brought their bats with them with both teams having 11 hits on the night. Only the Crushers were the only ones to bring the runs. The Lake Erie Crushers would beat the Otters 11 to 3. Preston Olson was given the loss tonight to move his record to 3-2 on the season. July 20, 2016 - EVANSVILLE, IN - Evansville emerged victorious in an extra inning nail biter by a score of 2-1 against the Lake Erie Crushers on Wednesday night at Bosse Field. Lake Erie jumped out to an early lead thanks to a solo homerun in the second inning. Josh Allen would bring the game to a tie following a solo shot of his own that was clobbered just to the right of the left-field foul pole. July 19, 2016 - EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Otters suffered a loss in heartbreaking fashion by a score of 7-6 against the Lake Erie Crushers on Tuesday night at Bosse Field. Errors (4) would prove to be detrimental to the Otters, resulting in multiple extra run opportunities. Erie would jump on the board first following an RBI groundout in the third inning. July 8, 2016 - EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Otters took game one of the series against the Gateway Grizzlies thanks to a walk- off homer by John Schultz. The Otters offense struggled all night long, compiling only three hits going into the bottom of the third, thanks to Gateway pitcher Dakota Smith and his nine strikeouts, and to stellar defensive play by the Grizzlies.
