Edenton Returns Four Power Players

February 1, 2016 - EDENTON, NC - The Edenton Steamers finished the 2015 season on top of the Coastal Plain League, tying a league high with their third Petitt Cup championship. The Steamers swept the individual awards, as Bryan Hill took home Coach of the Year while Chad Sedio and Zach Prendergast were named Hitter and Pitcher of the Year, respectively. Former Steamer Finishes 5th in Rookie of the Year Voting

December 23, 2015 - Former Edenton Steamer, Billy Burns, finished fifth in the American League Rookie of the Year voting after a near historic season for the Oakland Athletics. Burns led the A's in batting average (.294), runs (70), base hits (153), triples (9), and stolen bases (26). Furthermore, he also led AL rookies in stolen bases, multiple hit games (47), and total hits on the season, helping him to a .294 batting average that was good for second best in Oakland history by a rookie, shy of Mitchell Page's .307 in 1977. Petitt Cup Caps Outstanding Season for Edenton

September 18, 2015 - EDENTON, NC - The Edenton Steamers turned in one of the best seasons in franchise history in 2015. Finishing with a 46-17 record, the Teal and Black returned the Petitt Cup to Edenton for the first time since 2005. The Steamers jumped out to an excellent start, winning 10 of their first 12 games and stringing together a seven-game winning streak.
