Steamers Begin Arms Race for 2017

February 20, 2017 - Edenton, NC - The Steamers are excited to announce the addition of pitchers Andrew Marzheuser (MARZ-how-zur) and Alex Strizak (STRY-zak) to the 2017 pitching staff. Marzheuser comes from Florida Institute of Technology in the Sunshine State Conference in NCAA Division II. The 6'3" 180-pound sophomore appeared 12 times for the Panthers in the spring of 2016. He totaled five starts for 41.2 innings pitched and opponents hit just .180 against him. Opponents also slugged just .253 against the Morrow, OH native. He posted a WH... Full Story

Edenton Returns Slugger from 2016

February 13, 2017 - Edenton, NC - After a strong second half of the season in 2016, the Edenton Steamers have some new faces for the 2017 campaign. This will include head coach Dustin Coffman. The Steamers set franchise standards in doubles (104) and total bases (845) last summer. The 2016 Steamers also broke Costal Plain League single-season team marks in home runs (78) and slugging average (.461). Edenton will look to get back to the playoffs after its 2015 Petitt Cup. August 25, 2016 - The Coastal Plain League announced today, August 22, that Chris Lehman of the Edenton Steamers has been named the 2016 Coastal Plain League Broadcaster of the Year. This was Lehman's second season with the Steamers and the CPL. Clams Rout Dogs, Sweep Doubleheader

August 7, 2016 - EDENTON, NC - The Edenton Steamers outscored the Fayetteville SwampDogs 23-9 as they took both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday night. Edenton (16-10, 28-26) blasted eight homeruns in the twin bill, while Fayetteville (8-17, 18-34) struck out a total of 18 times. Ben Woodard collected the win for the Teal and Black in game one.
