January 18, 2017 - WASHINGTON- D.C. United have re-signed out of contract midfielder Jared Jeffrey after the Texas native enjoyed a breakout season in the center of midfield in 2016. United 2017 MLS Regular Season Schedule Announced

January 12, 2017 - WASHINGTON- Major League Soccer has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2017 season. D.C. United are featured in three nationally televised matches and conclude their final season at RFK stadium with a home match against the New York Red Bulls on Decision Day: Oct. 22 at 4 PM ET. January 5, 2017 - WASHINGTON (Jan. 5, 2017) - United defenders Steve Birnbaum and Taylor Kemp, along with goalkeeper Bill Hamid, have been named to Bruce Arena's 32-man roster for the United States Men's National Team annual January camp. The three Black-and-Red players are part of an entirely MLS-based roster spanning 15 teams. Since the camp does not fall during a recognized FIFA international window, only players who are not in season are available for selection. January 3, 2017 - WASHINGTON (Jan. 3, 2017) - D.C. United have acquired a 2018 fourth-round MLS SuperDraft pick from Minnesota United FC in exchange for midfielder Collin Martin. Martin, 22, signed for the Black-and-Red on July 10, 2013, as the sixth Homegrown signing for D.C. United. The midfielder made his debut as a 76th-minute substitute in United's 3-1 win against Montreal on Aug. 3, 2013, where he recorded his first and only assist in the 93rd minute.
