Steel Acquire Walker Duehr

May 26, 2016 - GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The Chicago Steel announced Thursday the completion of a prior trade with the Tri-City Storm, acquiring right wing Walker Duehr. The 18-year-old forward was part of the Storm's Clark Cup Championship team which finished a sweep of the Clark Cup Final last Friday. Duehr is a top prospect for next month's NHL Draft, currently ranked 162nd on NHL Central Scouting's North American Skater List (April 12). May 3, 2016 - GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The 2016 USHL Draft concluded Tuesday with Phase II, as teams were allowed to fill their rosters with available players born between 1996 and 2000. May 2, 2016 - GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The Chicago Steel continued to build a successful foundation of future players Monday, selecting twelve players in the USHL Phase I Draft. Chicago selected seven forwards and five defensemen from the 2000 birth year over the course of the 10-round Draft. Geneva Native Lillibridge Acquired by Steel

May 2, 2016 - GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The Chicago Steel announced Monday the acquisition of Geneva native Graham Lillibridge from the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The Steel receive the 17-year-old defenseman Lillibridge along with Muskegon's 6th round selection in tonight's USHL Phase I Draft in exchange for affiliate defenseman Colby Bukes and Chicago's USHL Phase II Draft 4th round pick.
