Potomac Sweeps Doubleheader with Walk-Off

July 23, 2016 - WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Winston-Salem navigated around several late-inning jams, but Potomac pulled out a 3-2 victory in Saturday's doubleheader finale thanks to a Jose Marmolejos walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh. Potomac (19-9, 53-43) stranded a runner in scoring position in the fourth through sixth innings before breaking through with the help of two Winston-Salem (12-17, 40-59) errors in the seventh. Mudcats Bounce Back with 10-3 Victory in Game Two

July 22, 2016 - Lynchburg, VA - Braxton Davidson was 2-for-4 with four RBI, Joseph Daris was 2-for-4 with a home run and Luis Valenzuela was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and a single as the Mudcats took game two of a doubleheader 10-3 on Friday night in Lynchburg. Carolina (40-58, 11-17) finished the second game of the twin bill with 10 runs and 15 hits while snapping an 11 game losing streak to the Hillcats (63-34, 18-9). July 22, 2016 - MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Charcer Burks and David Bote both collected three hits in the Myrtle Beach Pelicans' 6-3 win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks Friday at Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The duo was responsible for half of the team's hits and runs on the night. July 22, 2016 - WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Telvin Nash thrust the Dash in front with a pinch-hit grand slam in the top of the ninth, but Potomac's Drew Vettleson capped a six-RBI effort with a two-run homer in the home half of the frame to propel the Nationals to a wild 9-8 win on Friday at Pfitzner Stadium.
