Racers Sign Infielder Emily Messer

May 28, 2016 - AKRON, OH - The Akron Racers signed fifth-round draft pick, infielder Emily Messer, the 31st overall selection in the 2016 NPF Draft. Messer, a third baseman from the University of South Alabama, became the third 2016 selection to sign with Akron, joining pitcher Hannah Perryman (UMSL) and catcher Hannah Day (Troy).
