Rio Olympians Pre-Game Autograph Session

August 25, 2016 - Edmonton- The Edmonton Eskimos welcome Rio Olympians Jen Kish and Stephanie Labbé tomorrow, Friday, August 26, for a pre-game autograph session in Brickley's Knothole Corner (inside Gate 2). The rugby and soccer bronze medalists will sign autographs from 7:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. ahead of the Eskimos and Roughriders matchup on Armed Forces Appreciation Night, presented by Capital Power. Eskimos Mourn the Passing of Neill Armstrong

August 17, 2016 - The Edmonton Eskimos mourn the passing of former head coach Neill Armstrong who passed away on August 10 at the age of 90. Armstrong coached the Eskimos from 1964-69, leading the Green and Gold to the playoffs in three consecutive seasons (1966-68). A native of Tishomingo, Oklahoma he played for the Philadelphia Eagles for five seasons (1947-51) as a wide receiver and defensive back, winning NFL championships in 1948 and 1949. August 16, 2016 - Edmonton- Eskimos linebacker Deon Lacey is a CFL Player of the Week for Week 8 for his performance in last Thursday's 23-12 win against the Montreal Alouettes at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. Lacey tallied nine defensive tackles and capped the night with a game clinching 19-yard interception returned for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the game. LB Ogbongbemiga Acquired in Trade with Riders

August 8, 2016 - (Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimos have acquired national linebacker Alex Ogbongbemiga (pronounced Og-Bong-Beh-Migah) from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for national defensive tackle Gregory Alexandre. Ogbongbemiga was selected by the Riders in the third round of the 2016 CFL Draft. He made his CFL debut on July 16. Prior to the CFL, the Nigerian-born linebacker spent the 2015 season with the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League. He recorded 20 defensive tackles and one quarterback sack in ...
