Game Keys - The Zephyrs erupted for 11 runs and snapped a five game losing streak on Friday night in Oklahoma City. The Z's defeated the Redhawks 11-2 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
Gaby Sanchez and John Lindsey each drilled three run home runs for the visiting Zephyrs. New Orleans touched up Redhawk starter Jared Hyatt for ten runs in four innings pitched. The Z's scored six runs in the second inning, added a run in third and three in the fourth. Sanchez and Jai Miller each had three hits for New Orleans. Zephyr starter John Koronka pitched five scoreless innings and earned his first win of the season.
Former UNO standout Thomas Diamond pitched one inning for the Redhawks. He allowed one run on two hits.
Game Notes: Chris Coghlan reached base with four walks in the contest matching the franchise record set by Eric Bruntlett on May 5th, 2004 in Oklahoma City. The Z's scored 11 runs on Friday night matching a season high, set in Memphis on April 12th.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs and Oklahoma City RedHawks meet in the third game of the four game series Saturday night at 7:05. New Orleans will start RH Dallas Trahern (1-1, 4.32) against RH Doug Mathis (1-1, 2.16). Radio: WIST 690 AM
