Z's Offense Erupts for 11 runs in 11-5 win

Des Moines, Iowa - The Zephyrs scored a season best 11 runs and defeated the Iowa Cubs 11-5 to earn their fourth consecutive win on Friday in Des Moines. New Orleans jumped on starter Jay Jackson scoring three first inning runs. The Z's added two runs in the fifth inning with RBI doubles from Chris Agulia and Josh Kroeger. The Z's continued the offensive outburst with four seventh inning runs against the Cubs bullpen. The Z's scattered 14 hits and drew 8 walks in the game. The Z's had four hitters with two RBI. Vinny Rottino reached base in all six at bats; three hits and three walks. Starter Tom Koehler pitched five innings and earned his third win of the season. Jackson took the loss for Iowa.
