Albuquerque lefty Chris Seddon silenced the Zephyrs bats on Sunday night working 8.2 innings and defeated the Zephyrs 6-2. The win for the Isotopes snapped a eight game losing streak. The Isotopes scored a run in the first and second innings. The Z's tied the game after a pair of solo home runs in the third. Abraham Nunez hit a home run and Andy Green drilled a line drive home run to tie the game. The Isotopes scored three runs in the bottom of the inning with a key two RBI double by Jason Wood. Ruddy Lugo settled down after allowing 5 runs in the first three innings and worked seven innings in suffering the defeat. New Orleans two game win streak is over and the Isotopes beat the Z's for the first time this year and for the first time in 10 tries. The Z's win the series two games to one and return home on Monday to begin a four game series.

Game Notes: New Orleans added infielder Josh Petersen from Class AA Binghamton. In 44 games with the B-mets he batted .331 with two home runs. The Z's reassigned Eude Brito the Binghamton. John Rodriguez extended his hit streak to four games and had eight hits in 14 at bats with two home runs and six RBI in the series. Abraham Nunez made his first start of the season at shortstop. Coming Up: The Zephyrs return home to New Orleans on Monday and will host the Memphis Redbirds. The Z's will start RH Brian Stokes (8-7) and he will match up against RH Anthony Reyes of the Redbirds. Memphis swept New Orleans last week in a 4 game set at Memphis. RADIO: AM 690 WIST.
