Pearl, MS - The Mississippi Braves announce that OF Matt Young was named the Southern League's Best Hustler for the second straight season on Monday. Young leads the M-Braves with a .290 average and has set several team records including steals (42), runs (81) and walks (92). He's in the top five in the Southern League in most offensive categories.

Young has been consistent all season as he hit .324 in June, .296 in July and .337 in August with five of his league-lead-tying 10 triples. His 42 steals leads the Southern League and he's second in the league with an on-base percentage of .420. His 92 walks lead the league and are in the top five in all of minor league baseball.

Young is the second Mississippi Brave to be named the league's best hustler after Carl Loadenthal took that honor in 2007. Four other Braves' AA players were named the Southern League's Best Hustler: Pete Orr (Greenville, 2003), Marty Malloy (Greenville, 1996), Matt Sinatro (Savannah, 1980) and Jim Bouton (Savannah, 1978).
