Memphis Xplorers News Release

Oklahoma City, OK-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 dropped a heartbreaker tonight 50-47 to the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz.

The game was within eight points at all times, and a second half see-saw battle. The Xplorers were trailing by three points with 3:43 left in the game. Quarterback Michael Wall threw his first interception of the game with a little over a minute left in the game. Memphis then forced a fumble and got the ball back inside the five-yard line.

The Oklahoma City defense stopped the Xplorers on the final play of the game, and Memphis did not have a timeout remaining. The clocked expired and the Xplorers lost their second game of the season.

With the loss, Memphis magic number for clinching the division stays at two. The next home game is Saturday July 9th at the DeSoto Civic Center against the Tulsa Talons. Single game tickets start as low as $7 and can be purchased by calling 662-342-1755, visiting the DeSoto Civic Center box office, or by logging onto www.TicketMaster.com today!
