WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley to Visit Nymeo Field

Frederick, Md. - On Friday, July 1 one of wrestling's all-time greats will visit Nymeo Field. WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs when the team takes on the Salem Red Sox at 7 p.m. Gates open at six, as Foley's appearance kicks off an exciting Fourth of July weekend.
Nicknamed "Dude Love" and "The Hardcore Legend" for his ability to absorb inhuman punishment, Foley was a three-time WWE Champion. After spending 11 years wrestling under the name "Cactus Jack", Foley's career took off as the character "Mankind." Since retiring from wrestling, he has written a New York Times best-selling book entitled Have a Nice Day as well as a follow-up called Foley is Good which has hit the best-sellers list as well.
Aside from his literary pursuits, Foley has worked as an actor and stand-up comedian, appearing on shows such The Daily Show, 30 Rock and Boy Meets World. In addition to his appearance there will be fireworks sponsored by Uncle Maddios as well as a make your own "Mr. Socko" table.
Saturday at six o'clock is American Family Vacation night presented by Cruise Holidays of Frederick. Gates open at five, while one lucky fan will win a great trip. There will be more fireworks after the game, while the same is true after Sunday's 6:00 p.m contest against the Red Sox courtesy of Magic Mountain Chimney Sweeps. Before the game there is a Meet the Team event and Keys hat auction, as players and coaches will be wearing special patriotic caps. Additionally, it is a Sunday Funday presented by Chili's.
