LEADING OFF: West Virginia lost the series finale to Lexington 6-4 Thursday night. The Legends scored two runs early on four consecutive base hits against Dario Agrazal. The Power plated their first run in the third on a Mitchell Tolman sacrifice fly, before Lexington broke the game open with three in the fifth, highlighted by a two RBI triple by Roman Collins. West Virginia scored a run in the seventh on a bases loaded walk, however Lexington made it a 6-2 game with a pair of runs in the ninth. In bottom of the frame, with the Power down to their final strike, Ryan Nagle ripped a double down the right field line to slice the deficit in half. Legends reliever Matt Ditman stymied the comeback and worked the final out for his fourth save.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: West Virginia is set to begin a three game series Friday night against the first place Lakewood BlueClaws. The Power are currently tied for third in the South Atlantic League Northern Division, six games behind the 'Claws with ten games remaining. West Virginia is 3-8 against Lakewood this season.

POWER WALKING: West Virginia tied a season-high by taking 13 walks in the series finale against Lexington. The team also reached 13 times via base on balls on April 18 in a 16 inning contest vs. Kannapolis. During Thursday's game, Mitchell Tolman became the second Power hitter to take four walks in a single game after Carlos Munoz accomplished the feat on July 25 at Rome.

LOCKED-ON LOGAN: Friday night starter Logan Sendelbach is making his second start of the season against Lakewood. The right-hander earned the win in his last start against the club though he surrendered six runs in seven innings on June 1. The Power won the game 19-7, their season-high in runs. The Tiffin, Ohio allowed just one run in four innings in his last start against Kannapolis before the game was suspended due to unplayable grounds.

DANNY DELIVERS: With his sixth inning single, Daniel Arribas extended his season long hitting streak to eight games, the longest current such streak on the Power roster. The first baseman is 9-27 (.333) with five RBI over that span.

KELLER KEEPS IT GOING: After another five shutout frames, Mitch Keller has now thrown 23 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to the first inning of his start on August 6 at Delmarva. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native has allowed 13 hits while striking out 28 and walking just four over the four game stretch. The right-hander started the season with fifteen consecutive shutout innings before giving up his first run.

CHECK THE RECORDS: Following his seven punch outs Wednesday night, Mitch Keller is at 131 strike outs for the season, giving him sole possession of the third highest single-season mark in West Virginia Power history. Tyler Glasnow holds the record after he fanned 164 in 2013 and Will Inman is second with his 134 strikeouts in 2006. Keller's 2.46 ERA would be the third best mark in team history, trailing Inman (1.71), and Yeudy Garcia (2.10).

POWER POINTS: West Virginia notched its 13th shutout of the season in the series opener on Tuesday, the second highest figure in the South Atlantic League... Casey Hughston hit his team-leading seventh triple of the season in the first inning of Monday's 5-1 win over Kannapolis... The two hits given up by the Power in the series opener against Kannapolis matched the lowest amount of hits allowed by Power pitchers in a game this season...

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh beat Milwaukee in extras 3-2. Andrew McCutcheon finished, 3-5 with a home run and the game-winning RBI single in the tenth inning... Louisville blew out Indianapolis 9-2. Steven Brault fell to 2-7 after allowing three runs in two innings... Altoona bested Eerie 5-3. Barrett Barnes launched his eighth home run in the win... Jupiter slipped past Bradenton 3-2. Tito Polo finished 3-5 with an RBI... The Black Bears won a walk-off 4-3 over Williamsport.
