Cedeno: Allowed 4 R on 3 H over 4.2 IP in 5/17 L @ GVL with 6 K (4-2 Drive)

LEADING OFF: The West Virginia Power lost 10-2 in Monday night's series opener with the Charleston RiverDogs. Tito Polo staked West Virginia to a 1-0 lead in the first with his fifth home run of the year. The 'Dogs quickly responded, scoring six runs in the first two innings, capped by a pair of home runs from Gosuke Katoh and Connor Spencer. Charleston added a run in the fifth and scored three times in the eighth off Power infielder Logan Ratledge who made his second relief appearance of the season. The Power's lone other run came in the ninth on an RBI double from Christian Kelley. J.T. Brubaker received the loss and Christian Morris picked up the win. Jose Mesa recorded his first save of the year, finishing the final three frames.

WAG THE DOG: The RiverDogs took two of three games in the first series of the year against the Power, part of 13 meetings between the two in 2016. The 'Dogs took the 2015 series 4-3, and lead overall the match-up 40-29.The Power are 15-24 on the road at Charlie South.

SERIES-LY? With a split of Sunday's doubleheader against Hickory, the Power won their first series since April 22-24 against Lexington. West Virginia won their first five series of the year before dropping or splitting their next six.

THE MORE THE MERRIER: Following Monday night's loss, the Power fell to 1-14 when they score two runs or fewer. The club is 21-7 when they plate at least three runs.

KEEP IT 100: On Saturday Ke'Bryan Hayes became the first Power player this season to be included in MLB.com's top 100 prospect list. The 19-year-old , ranked as the 100th best prospect in baseball, joins Tyler Glasnow (8), Austin Meadows (16), Josh Bell (44), and Jameson Taillon (53) as the only players from the Pirates organization on the list.

RATLEDGE RELIEF: Power infielder Logan Ratledge pitched in his second game of the season Monday night, giving up two runs and striking out a pair in two innings of relief. Ratledge earned the win in the team's 16 inning victory over Kannapolis on April 18. The right-hander is the first West Virginia position player to pitch since Adam Landecker on July 1, 2014.

JULIO'S HEROICS: Julio Eusebio earned his third save Thursday night, tying him for the team lead with three. West Virginia's bullpen has amassed a league-low seven saves this season. Five different relievers in the league have more or as many saves as the Power staff has this year.

ALL ABOUT ARRIBAS: Daniel Arribas hit his team-leading fifth home run of the season in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader. The Power DH and first baseman has a team-leading 13 game on-base streak. He leads all qualified West Virginia hitters in OBP (.408), SLG (.455) and OPS (.862).

POWER POINTS: The Minnesota Twins promoted Robbie Grossman to the active roster. Grossman hit .266 over 116 games for West Virginia in 2009... No Power player has a current hitting streak longer than catcher John Bormann's seven game run... West Virginia scored nine runs Saturday night, their second-highest total of the season and largest output since April 19 vs. Kannapolis... On Thursday West Virginia began a stretch where they play 11 of the next 14 games at Appalachian Power Park after having played 10 of the last 14 games on the road.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh knocked off Colorado 6-3. Josh Harrison went 2-4 with two RBI to pace the team... Indianapolis was idle.. Altoona edged Akron 7-5. Jose Osuna drove in four of the seven Curve runs.... Dunedin defeated Bradenton 6-2. Austin Coley took the loss, allowing three runs in six and a third innings.

PROMO UPDATE: On May 28, the Power host the Columbia Fireflies on Red Neck Night 5. The game features a sleeveless T-shirt giveaway as well as a pre and postgame concert by Love and Theft.
