LET'S PLAY TWO: Friday night's game between the Power and Crawdads was rained out due to inclement weather. The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday with first pitch for game one scheduled for 5:05 P.M. West Virginia is 2-2 on doubleheader days this season.

LEADING OFF: West Virginia bested the Hickory Crawdads 7-6 Thursday night at Appalachian Power Park. The Power took a 1-0 lead after the two innings, before Hickory scored a pair of runs to take a short lead in the third. West Virginia took the lead back with two runs in the bottom half, on RBI singles from Ke'Bryan Hayes and Daniel Arribas. The Power scored four more runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh combined, capped off by a two RBI triple from Ryan Nagle. The Crawdads scored four runs in the eighth to cut the deficit to one, however Julio Eusebio notched his third save to preserve the 7-6 win. Dario Agrazal allowed just two runs over seven innings to pick up the win, while Wes Benjamin took the loss. Four batters for the Power finished with multi-hit games.

BRING TO A BOIL: The Power and Crawdads have met 111 times since 2005 with the Power holding the slight edge 56-55. West Virginia won the 2015 regular season series 5-3, but Hickory won two of three in the Northern Division Championship Series before claiming the league title. The Power are 32-22 at home against the Crawdads.

HOME SWEET HOME: Yesterday West Virginia began a stretch where they play 11 of the next 14 games at Appalachian Power Park after having played 10 of the last 14 games on the road.

K-DAY: Mitch Keller makes his eighth start of the season tonight. Keller is third in the South Atlantic League in ERA (1.10) and tied for second in strikeouts (48) with his teammate J.T. Brubaker.

JOHN B. GOOD: No Power player has a current hitting streak longer than catcher John Bormann's SIX game run. Bormann's 11 game on-base streak is also tied for the longest current streak on the roster with Carlos Munoz.

JULIO'S HEROICS: Julio Eusebio earned his third save Thursday night, tying him for the team lead with 3. West Virginia's bullpen has amassed a league-low seven saves this season. Five different relievers in the league have more or as many saves as the Power staff has this year.

OVER IT: Thursday's series opening win pushed the Power's record back over the .500 mark at 20-19. West Virginia came into play Thursday back at an even record for the first time since April 8 when they were 1-1. The team started the year 14-3. From April 24 on the team is 6-16.

ALWAYS OUT THERE: Daniel Arribas reached base in all four plate appearances Thursday night with two hits and two walks. The Power first baseman and DH leads all qualified West Virginia hitters in OBP (.401), third in SLG (.426) and first in OPS (.827).

POWER POINTS: The Minnesota Twins promoted Robbie Grossman to the active roster. Grossman hit .266 over 116 games for West Virginia in 2009... Tito Polo had four hits in eight at bats over the course of the Delmarva series to raise his average from .257 to .273... The Power scored 7 runs on Thursday night, their highest total since April 29.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh knocked off Colorado 2-1. Gerrit Cole picked up his fifth win after allowing one run over seven innings... Indianapolis defeated Columbus 5-1. Josh Bell went 3-4, hitting his fourth home run of the season... Altoona overwhelmed Binghamton 8-0. Four pitchers combined to throw a 3 hit shutout... Bradenton walked off against Dunedin for the 5-4 victory. Connor Joe scored the winning run on a wild pitch.
