Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a perfect 2-0-0 record last week with victories over the Stockton Thunder. Friday night, Las Vegas defeated the Thunder 5-3 at the Stockton Arena. The Wranglers were victorious in Stockton again on Saturday with a 3-2 win.
This week the Wranglers will host Long Beach for the annual Midnight Holiday Roundup tonight at 11:59 pm. Wednesday night the Wranglers head to Long Beach to meet the Ice Dogs at the Long Beach Arena at 7:00 pm. The team will then break for Christmas until heading to Bakersfield on Monday, December 26th at 7:00 pm. Tuesday, December 27th Las Vegas will host San Diego at 7:05pm. The following Wednesday, Las Vegas will play in Long Beach at 7:00 pm.

Las Vegas 5 at Stockton 3
Stockton, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Stockton Thunder 5-3 at the Stockton Arena on Friday night. Left wing Todd Alexander and center Matt Dzieduszycki each scored once and assisted on one other goal, leading the Wranglers to their sixth straight win. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 27 saves, pushing his record to 11-4-1, and helping the Wranglers improve to 11-0-1 over their last 12 games played. Forwards Thomas Bellemare, Derek Edwardson, Chris Stanley, also scored in the victory. The Alaska Aces fell in overtime at Victoria 5-4. This helped the Wranglers move to within one point of Alaska for first place in the West division.

Las Vegas 3 at Stockton 2
Stockton, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Stockton Thunder 3-2 at the Stockton Arena on Saturday night. Las Vegas defenseman Tim Hambly scored two goals, including the game-winning goal with under three minutes to go in the contest, helping the Wranglers set a team record with their seventh straight win. Defenseman Tyler Sloan also scored a goal and added an assist as Las Vegas improved to 12-0-1 in the team's last 13 games played. Rookie goalie Mike McKenna continued his hot play, making 36 saves and improving to 7-0-1 on the season.
This Week's Opponent-
Long Beach Ice Dogs - (13-11-2, 28 Points) - The Wranglers will collide with the Ice Dogs three times over the next week and a half, starting Monday night at the Orleans Arena. The two teams will meet Wednesday night in Long Beach and again one week later at the Long Beach Arena. The Dogs are coming to Las Vegas with three straight wins, including a 5-0 win at home over Phoenix at the Long Beach Arena on Saturday night. The Dogs are 8-5-1 on the road this season. Third-year center Christian Larivee is playing the best hockey of his career. In 26 games played this season, Larivee leads the Ice Dogs with 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points. Former Wranglers' winger Chris Kenady has eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 26 games played.
Las Vegas Streaking to New Records -
Las Vegas is currently riding the most successful wave in team history. The team's current 12-0-1 unbeaten in regulation streak is the longest in team history. The former streak was ten games (8-0-2) from October 21, 2003 until November 14, 2003. The team is 10-0-1 at home so far this season, three games shy of tying the mark set during the team's inaugural season at 13-0-1. Goalie Mike McKenna's unbeaten in regulation streak of 7-0-1 is three games shy of tying Marc Magliarditi's mark of 9-0-2 during the 2003-04 season. The team's seven-game winning streak is the longest in team history. The team also set a new team-record with their seventh straight road win Saturday night in Stockton.
THIRD ANNUAL MIDNIGHT HOLIDAAY ROUNDUP -
The Wranglers will host the third annual Midnight Holiday Roundup on tonight at 11:59 pm against the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The Wranglers will also host a blood drive in conjunction with the Midnight Game. The blood drive will take place from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Orleans Arena. Those who donate blood will receive vouchers for Penn and Teller tickets. Fans who attend the game may also bring toys for children as part of the annual Toy Roundup. All the toys will be donated to Olive Crest. Before the game and during the intermissions, Mini KISS will perform. Mini KISS is little people imitating the 70's band, KISS.
