Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that goaltender Jody O'Neill has been traded to the team from the Stockton Thunder in exchange for future considerations.

O'Neill, 24, comes to Las Vegas after appearing in one game for the Thunder this season, making ten saves in a game against the San Francisco Bulls on Jan. 20. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound rookie goalie made his ECHL debut with the Thunder last season after four years (2008-12) at Dartmouth College, posting a 26-35-6 record, 2.99 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. In his freshman season with the Big Green, the Nepean, Ontario native earned both the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the Ivy League's Rookie of the Year awards.

The Wranglers take on the Alaska Aces tonight at 7:05 p.m. with a post-game concert by alt-country singer/songwriter Todd Snider. The two teams rematch tomorrow during "Heroes Night" which will feature Iron Man live on the concourse and a pre-game contest between Las Vegas police and firefighter hockey teams.

Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers. Take advantage of the best deals by calling the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK . The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
