January 8, 2009 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release

Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Zach Boychuk and Juha Metsola will both be on hand on Saturday evening at the ENMAX Centre as the Hurricanes plan to recognize their participants in the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships prior to their match up with the Vancouver Giants. The Canes also hope the fans of Lethbridge can aid them in giving a warm reception to Giants' and Team USA defenseman Jon Blum and Team Canada forward Evander Kane.

Fans should also note that Boychuk and his shiny new gold medal will be on hand following the game in the Pizza Hut Autograph station. Be sure to arrive early and come out to help the Hurricanes welcome and recognize all of these world class hockey players!

This will be the second meeting between the Canes and Giants this season in what should be a premier WHL matchup. In their last meeting, Hurricanes starting goaltender Juha Metsola was able to stop 35 shots on net on October 25, 2008 in what ended in a 4-1 loss for the Canes on home ice. The new look Lethbridge Hurricanes will look to improve on their all time record of 4-11-2-1-0 against the Giants.

Game time is 7:00 p.m. MST and tickets can be purchased by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Office, the Yates Theatre Centre, by calling (403) 329-SEAT or online at: www.lethbridgehurricanes.com
