Worcester Sharks Host MSHCA Boys and Girls High-School All-Star

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Sharks will host the Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association High School All-Star Games presented by Shriners, on Saturday, March 30 beginning with a 1:45pm start for the girl's game followed by a 4pm puck drop for the boys at the DCU Center. The All-Star Games will feature the state's top 92 high school senior boys and girls from MIAA schools, as selected by the MSHCA.

"These games are a great opportunity for Massachusetts high school hockey players to showcase their talents in front of scouts and fans alike," stated Mudd. "The Sharks are proud to host the MSHCA All-Star Games presented by Shriners by bringing the best high school hockey talent in one place for a terrific exhibition. "
Two previous MSHCA All-Stars have been drafted in the NHL Draft. 2012 MSHCA All-Star Sam Kurker (Reading, MA) was drafted by the St. Louis Blues with the 56th pick overall in the 2012 NHL Draft and 2011 MSHCA All-Star Colin Blackwell (North Andover, MA) was drafted by the San Jose Sharks with the 194th pick overall in the 2011 NHL Draft. This is the 4th annual boy's All-Star game and the inaugural year for the girl's game.
Admission to the MSHCA High School All-Star Games presented by Shriners will be $11 in advance and $16 at the door with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston.
Doors will open at 1:30PM. The girl's All-Star game will begin at 1:45pm followed by the boy's game at 4pm. A ticket to the All-Star games will also allow fans to attend the Sharks' match versus the St. John's IceCaps that evening at 7PM.
"The Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association is extremely excited about the upcoming games and grateful to the Worcester Sharks and Shriners for making this an annual occurrence," said MSHCA Board of Director member David Spinale. "The DCU Center is centrally located and a great place to showcase some of the great young hockey talent in Massachusetts."
