Worcester Sharks Announce Details for 4th Annual High School Hockey Classic

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced today the details for the 4th annual High School Hockey Classic presented by the Massachusetts Army National Guard featuring the St. John's Pioneers and the St. Peter Marian Guardians on Saturday, February 5 before the Sharks game vs. the Bruins at 4:00pm at the DCU Center. In addition, several San Jose Sharks players will sign autographs from 6-7pm in the DCU Center concourse.
Saturday, February 5 - Worcester Sharks vs. Providence Bruins at 7pm
4th annual High School Hockey Classic (PREGAME) GAME TO START APPROXIMATELY AT 4PM - before the Sharks vs. Bruins
The 2011 Classic pits the varsity hockey teams from St. John's HS vs. St. Peter Marian HS
* 2:30pm - JV teams take the ice (fans/family coming for this game will enter through door 5)
* 3:30pm - DCU Center doors open
* 4pm - St. John's vs. St. Peter Marian take the ice for the CLASSIC!
* 6-7pm - Several San Jose players to sign autographs in DCU Center concourse!
* 7pm - Sharks vs. Bruins
* One ticket good for all 3 games. Must have a ticket to enter.
* Tickets cost $11 in advance.
* Day of the game before 5pm, fans mentioning the HS doubleheader will pay $15.
This season, eight local high school varsity boy's hockey teams will skate on the DCU Center Ice on the same day as a Worcester Sharks game. Tickets cost just $11 in advance for each participating school, with one ticket to garner entry into the high school game and the Sharks game.
"The Worcester Sharks are proud to showcase high school hockey at the DCU Center," said Mudd. "The high school games have all the bells and whistles of a regular Sharks game. We had large turnouts for the first three games and look forward to some more great high school hockey action on Saturday."

The Sharks are in the middle of a season long six game home stand!
On Friday, the Sharks host the Manchester Monarchs at 7:30pm on NASCAR Night presented by Boyd Coatings Research. The 2011 DuPont Impala #24 Show Car will be on display in the DCU Center lobby. Take your picture with a real NASCAR show car! Cruisin' Bruce Palmer from 100FM the Pike will host NASCAR Night! The game will be shown live on Charter TV3 with coverage beginning at 7:30pm.
On Saturday, the Sharks will host the Providence Bruins at 7pm with a special appearance by several San Jose Sharks players! San Jose Sharks players will be signing autographs from 6-7pm throughout the DCU Center concourse!
Doors will open at 3:30pm for the 4th annual High School Hockey Classic presented by the Massachusetts Army National Guard featuring St. John's and St. Peter Marian at 4pm in the 4th of four high school hockey doubleheaders at the DCU Center this season.
