FOR THE RECORD...

Chicago lit the lamp 10 times on just 17 shots against Iowa on Saturday, an AHL season-high and tied for the most goals on the road in franchise history. The Wolves' eight-goal margin of victory (10-2) matched a club record while the squad's 10-goal output is tied for the second-most in the franchise's 14 years of existence.

WOLVES HEADLINERS

--- KEVIN DOELL: Established a franchise record with three goals in just 77 seconds during Saturday's second period, which included a penalty shot marker ... Held to two tallies in the previous 26 games entering Saturday before posting his first career AHL hat trick ... Netted five goals, 12 points and 39 penalty minutes in 27 games this year

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Assigned by the Atlanta Thrashers on Sunday ... Recorded seven assists and eight points - which includes his first NHL goal on Oct. 13 vs. New Jersey - in 16 contests with the Thrashers ... Named AHL MVP after leading the league with a career-high 81 assists and 122 points in 73 games with Chicago last season

--- JASON KROG: Registered points in four straight games (G, 5A) and in 11 of his last 12 (4G, 13A) ... Shares fourth in the AHL with a Wolves-leading 22 assists and ranks sixth in the league with a team-leading 32 points in 27 games ... Racked up 112 points (36G, 76A) in 71 games during his two-year career with Chicago, which includes at least one point 62 times

--- BRETT STERLING: Notched one point in four consecutive outings, which includes two goals and one assist last week ... Ranks third in the AHL with 15 goals and ranks fourth on Chicago with 24 points in just 19 contests ... Potted 70 goals in 101 career AHL games over the last two years, which includes a league-leading 55 in 2006-07

--- BRYAN LITTLE: Recorded three points (2G, A) in three games with Chicago last week - which includes two goals on Saturday - after being assigned by the Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday ... Made his NHL debut with Atlanta this season, tallying three goals, nine points and 16 penalty minutes in 29 matchups .. Selected 12th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago will wrap up the calendar year with five games, three of which are on home ice, beginning when the team hosts Peoria on Wednesday at 7 p.m.; the Wolves have recorded a 10-3-0-0 record on home ice this season.

--- Chicago's 19 wins (19-7-1-0) are tied for second-most in the AHL, while the squad's .722 winning percentage ranks third in the league.

--- Center KEVIN DOELL's penalty shot goal on Saturday was the second of his Wolves career and just the franchise's sixth on 30 attempts in 14 years; DOELL's three-goal game marked the club's third hat trick this season and 68th all-time.

--- Wolves netminder ONDREJ PAVELEC thwarted an Iowa penalty shot on Saturday, the 13th save on 20 attempts in team history.

--- Saturday marked the first time in eight games the Wolves held their opponent to fewer than three goals; Chicago has notched a 12-0-1-0 when holding rivals to two or fewer goals this season.

--- Chicago has potted 102 goals in 27 games this season and ranks second in the AHL with an average of 3.78 goals per game.

Wolves players NATHAN OYSTRICK and JORDAN LaVALLEE will attempt to set an unofficial record by remaining in full equipment for 27 hours following the team's game against the Peoria Rivermen at the Allstate Arena on Wed., Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Fans can pledge money for each hour the players remain in their equipment, as well as visit the duo throughout the day of the challenge. --- Chicago exploded for an AHL season-high 10 goals - tied for the most on the road in franchise history - on a season-low 17 shots in a 10-2 win over the Iowa Stars at Wells Fargo Arena
--- Center KEVIN DOELL potted three goals in a 77-second span in the second period, which includes converting on a penalty shot attempt, while center BRYAN LITTLE added two tallies
--- Netminder ONDREJ PAVELEC turned aside 28 of the 30 shots he faced

--- The Wolves fell behind 3-0 after 20 minutes of play en route to losing 4-1 to the Peoria Rivermen at Carver Arena
--- Right wing JESSE SCHULTZ notched Chicago's only goal with assists from linemates JASON KROG and BRETT STERLING
--- Goaltender ROBERT GHERSON recorded 28 saves on 31 shots

--- Five different players lit the lamp as Chicago snapped a season-high four-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Rochester Americans at the Allstate Arena
