Mohegan Wolves News Release

NEW LONDON, Conn. (February 6, 2003) - The Mohegan Wolves (arenafootball2) will be playing a part in this weekend’s annual Walter Camp Football Foundation festivities, which highlights this year’s best college football players and benefits New Haven area charities. The events begin on Thursday, Feb. 6 and culminate with the 36th annual national awards dinner on Sat., Feb. 8.

The Wolves are scheduled to participate in a number of the weekend’s events, including Friday’s (Feb. 7) New Haven area hospital visits and the Fan Fest Carnival.

On Friday morning, Mohegan players and coaches will accompany the Walter Camp All-Stars on a New Haven area hospital tour, which includes visits to such facilities as the Easter Seals Goodwill Rehabilitation Center and Yale New Haven Hospital.

The Fan Fest, which begins at 4 p.m. at Yale University’s Payne Whitney Gym inside the Lanman Center, will be a great forum for the Wolves to display their unique product to thousands of children and adults at the event. Mohegan staff and dance team members will also be on hand to mingle with fans and speak about the upcoming season.

“We’re very excited to be a part of these great events for the Walter Camp Foundation,” Wolves Coach Mark Stoute said. “It’ll be a nice opportunity for our team to gain some exposure to a large number of local fans who love football.

The Wolves kick off their 2003 season on Sat., April 5, vs. the Rochester Brigade at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Season tickets are available and affordable, starting as low as $96 per seat. Blockbuster giveaway nights are also being planned. For more information, please contact the Mohegan Wolves office at 860.443.1900 or visit them on the web at www.moheganwolves.com.
