Wolves Re-Sign Galivan and Hunt

The Chicago Wolves have re-signed Oak Park native PATRICK GALIVAN and forward JAMIE HUNT.

GALIVAN made his professional debut in 19 games with the Wolves last season, recording two goals, six points and a +2 plus/minus rating. The 24-year-old left wing also skated in 46 ECHL contests with the Gwinnett Gladiators during his rookie campaign and ranked second on the team with 20 goals and fifth with 42 points.

Prior to turning pro, the Oak Park River Forest High School graduate completed a four-year career at Western Michigan University (CCHA), which includes leading the team with a career- high 19 goals, 28 assists and 47 points in 41 outings as a senior in 2008-09.

Overall, GALIVAN registered 35 goals, 60 assists, 95 points and 112 penalty minutes in 122 career games with Western Michigan, spanning four seasons (2005 to 2009).

HUNT set a personal American Hockey League best with six goals, 11 assists and 17 points in 42 games playing as a defenseman during his first season with the Wolves last year. His six goals shared fourth among team blueliners, while his 17 points ranked sixth among team rearguards.

Prior to joining the Wolves, the 26-year-old spent the 2008-09 season with the Augsburg Panthers of the German Elite League, compiling 21 assists, 25 points and 57 penalty minutes in 50 contests.

The Calgary, Alberta, native also spent two seasons with the AHL's Hershey Bears, amassing 25 points (6G, 19A) and 63 penalty minutes in 96 contests. He appeared in four Calder Cup playoff outings with the Bears in 2007-08, and made his National Hockey League debut in one outing with the Washington Capitals in 2006-07.

HUNT spent three seasons at Mercyhurst College (AHA) before going pro, where he tallied 20 goals, 61 assists, 81 points and 89 penalty minutes in 98 career outings from 2003 to 2006.

In accordance with team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
