Wolves Host Colts & Storm in Double-Header Action

The Sudbury Wolves will host the Barrie Colts and the Guelph Storm this weekend at the Sudbury Arena. The Wolves will kick-off the double-header weekend on Friday January 22nd when they host their divisional rivals, the Barrie Colts at 7:00pm, before hosting the Guelph Storm for the one and only time this season on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm.

The Colts currently sit atop the Central Division and second in the Eastern Conference with 51 points. The Colts are led upfront by overage forward and San Jose Sharks prospect KEVIN LABANC who currently leads the league in scoring with 27 goals and 50 assists for 77 points in 40 games. In net, the Colts are led by Team Canada goalie and New Jersey Devils prospect MACKENZIE BLACKWOOD. BLACKWOOD sits 4th in the league in GAA with 2.48 and 1st in save percentage with .928. The Colts line-up also features 4 other NHL drafted players including ROY RADKE (Chicago), JULIUS NATTINEN (Anaheim), ANDREW MANGIAPANE (Calgary), and RASUMUS ANDERSSON (Calgary).

Friday's game is sponsored by DESJARDINS who will be on hand with DESJARDINS Thunder Stix for fans. Friday's game is also in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, who will be holding an airplane toss during the second intermission for the chance to win a framed signed Sudbury Wolves game worn jersey.

The Wolves hit the ice once again on Sunday afternoon as they host the Guelph Storm for the one and only time this season. The Storm currently sit 10th in the Western Conference with 22 points, but hold a record of 6-2-1-1 in their last 10 games.
