Wolves Bring Back Sipotz

The Chicago Wolves have recalled defenseman BRIAN SIPOTZ from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.

SIPOTZ was held scoreless in three games with the Gladiators since being assigned on Dec. 28.

The 28-year-old blueliner has notched two assists and 18 penalty minutes in 10 games with the Wolves this season.

Overall, the South Bend, Ind., native has tallied 39 assists, 48 points and 184 penalty minutes in 335 regular-season AHL outings with Chicago from 2004 to 2009. He also registered seven points (G, 6A) in 47 career Calder Cup Playoff contests with Chicago, which includes helping the squad win the 2008 Calder Cup Championship and reaching the Calder Cup Finals in 2005.

The Wolves travel to Canada to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum on Wed., Jan. 6, at 6:30 p.m.
