The Wolf Pack swept three road games this past weekend, finishing the first half of their season with a record of 24-12-0-4 for 52 points. The Pack went down to Norfolk, VA for a pair of games against the Admirals Friday and Saturday, and prevailed by scores of 4-2 and 3-2 respectively. Then, a Sunday visit to Hershey yielded a 3-1 win over the Bears. Linemates Ryan Callahan and Dane Byers led the way offensively, with 2-2-4 each, and Al Montoya won a pair of starts, allowing a total of only four goals on 60 shots. The Wolf Pack have now won four straight road games and five of their last six, and are 10-1-0-1 in their last 12 away from home.

This week:

The Wolf Pack start the second half of their 2007-08 campaign with a four-game week of Atlantic Division action. On Wednesday night the Worcester Sharks visit the XL Center for a 7:00 game, and then the Wolf Pack travel to Springfield for a date with the Falcons on Friday (7:30). Saturday the Portland Pirates invade the XL Center (7:00), before the Wolf Pack get a crack at league-leading Providence on the road Sunday (4:05).

This week's edition of the Wolf Pack's weekly Tuesday-night talk show features Wolf Pack forwards, and former Dartmouth College teammates, Hugh Jessiman and Mike Ouellette as scheduled guests. The show originates live from the M&M Restaurant at the Hilton Hartford, located at 315 Trumbull St. in downtown Hartford, from 7:00-8:00 PM. Fans are welcome to be on hand at M&M for an exclusive opportunity to ask questions and speak one-on-one with the guests. Wolf Pack Confidential can be heard live on the radio home of the Wolf Pack, ESPN Radio 1410.

Wednesday, January 16th vs. Worcester at the XL Center, 7:00 p.m.

- The Sharks (17-14-3-2, 39 pts.) currently occupy sixth place in the Atlantic Division, 13 points behind the third-place Wolf Pack.

- The Wolf Pack are 4-0-0 thus far in the season series vs. the San Jose farmhands, and posted a 4-3 win in the only previous encounter in Hartford, November 2nd.

- Mike Iggulden leads the Sharks in points, goals and assists, with 15-22-37 in 36 GP, and will represent the Worcester squad at the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic, presented by Reebok.

Friday, January 18th at Springfield (MassMutual Center), 7:30 p.m.

- This the fourth meeting of the season between the Wolf Pack and their I-91 rivals, and the Wolf Pack have captured the first three, including a 3-2 decision December 28th in their only previous visit to Springfield.

- The Falcons currently hold down the fourth-and-final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division with a record of 19-17-3-3 for 44 points, and trail the Wolf Pack by eight standings points.

- Springfield point-scoring leader Rob Schremp (10-31-41 in 40 GP) is tied for fifth in the AHL in assists and ranks seventh in the league in points.

- Head Coach Kevin Dineen's Pirates (25-13-2-2, 54 pts.) have won four straight and are 9-1-1-1 in their last 12 games, to jump two points ahead of the Wolf Pack for second place in the Atlantic.

- Portland forward Petteri Wirtanen is riding an eight-game point-scoring streak, during which he has posted totals of 1-11-12, and Drew Miller earned RBK/AHL Player-of-the-Week honors for last week, after rolling up 5-3-8 in four games.

- The Wolf Pack are 2-1-0-1 in this year's season series vs. the Pirates, 1-0-0-1 at home.

- The Bruins still lead the AHL with 63 points (30-7-2-1), but have recently gone through their driest spell of the season, 1-2-0-1 in their last four games.

- The Wolf Pack have lost three close decisions to Providence this year (0-2-0-1), including a 4-3 shootout loss December 5th in their only prior road game in the series.

- The Bruins' Pascal Pelletier leads the AHL in goals with 24, and stands fourth in the league in points with 47.

The Wolf Pack will be sponsoring a blood drive Monday, January 21st, from 10:00 AM - 2:45 PM, at 242 Trumbull St. in downtown Hartford. The blood drive will take place in the Century Room on the second floor of 242 Trumbull St., and all presenting blood donors that day will receive a specially-designed Wolf Pack/American Red Cross T-shirt, and will also be entered to win the use of a 10-person luxury suite at a 2007-08 Wolf Pack home game of their choice. Saturday, January 26th, when the Wolf Pack host the league-leading Providence Bruins at the XL Center, (7:00 faceoff) is Al Montoya Bobblehead Night. The first 5,000 fans into the game will receive a bobblehead of the Wolf Pack's charismatic young goaltender.

The Wolf Pack's annual "Scout Sleepover" is coming up Saturday, February 2nd, as the Wolf Pack take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in GEICO Connecticut Cup action. Scouts who register through the Wolf Pack ticket office (860-548-2000) will be invited to sleep over after the game in the XL Center's Exhibition Hall.

"Kids' Club Day", for members of the Wolf Pack's Kids' Club, presented by Click-It-or-Ticket, is scheduled for Sunday, February 3rd at the XL Center. Kids' Club Day is a chance to attend a Wolf Pack practice, watch the team skate, and get player autographs. The Wolf Pack Kids' Club is open to kids of all ages, and membership is free. Monday, February 18th is the date for the Wolf Pack's annual "Tip a Player" Dinner and Sports Carnival, which benefits Gaylord Hospital.
