The Hartford Wolf Pack played three games in three days this past week, losing their first two match ups, but breaking their three game losing streak with an overtime win over Lowell on Sunday to end the week at 45-24-2-6, for 98 points. The Wolf Pack have clinched home ice advantage in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs, where they will face either Manchester or Providence, and the Pack remain ten points behind the Portland Pirates, who have clinched the Atlantic Division title. On Friday night, the Pack hosted Portland, coming up short with a disappointing 5-3 loss. During this match-up, the Pack's newest additions, forwards Lauri Korpikoski (g) and Dane Byers (a) both contributed in their first game for the Pack after signing amateur tryout (ATO) agreements on March 31st. Brad Smyth also netted a goal and an assist for the Pack. Then on Saturday, the Wolf Pack traveled to Bridgeport for a GEICO Connecticut Cup showdown, walking away with a 2-1 loss to the Sound Tigers. Left wing Martin Sonnenberg netted the Pack's only goal of the night during the first period, assisted by Marvin Degon & Lee Falardeau. On Sunday, the Pack rebounded, defeating the Lowell Lock Monsters in a 3-2 overtime win, with defenseman Marvin Degon netting the game-winning power play goal.

This week:
The Wolf Pack return to action on Wednesday, traveling to Albany to take on the River Rats (7:00 p.m. faceoff), followed by a road trip to Providence on Friday night to face the Bruins (7:05 p.m.). On Saturday, the Pack wrap up their regular season, hosting the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at home (7:00 p.m.) during the final GEICO Connecticut Cup showdown of the year.

Tuesday, April 11 - "Wolf Pack Confidential" at Little Mark's Big Barbecue on ESPN Radio 1410
The Wolf Pack's weekly hourlong live radio show returns for the last show of the season, originating from Little Mark's Big Barbecue, 279 West Main Street (Route 44) in Avon, from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Scheduled to join host Bob Crawford this week are Martin Grenier and Chad Wiseman. They will be taking questions from the live audience at Little Mark's (all are invited), and the show can be heard on ESPN Radio 1410 and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.

Wednesday, April 12 at Albany (Pepsi Arena), 7:00 p.m.

This is the final of six games on the year between the Wolf Pack and the River Rats, the top affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. The River Rats are currently ranked seventh in the Atlantic Division with a record of 23-46-4-3, for 53 points.
Albany is without their top scorer, forward Aleksander Suglobov, whom the Devils traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Ken Klee on March 8th.
The Pack are 5-0-0-0 on the year vs. the River Rats and have outscored the River Rats 22-12 in their past five meetings.

Friday, April 14 at Providence (Dunkin' Donuts Center), 7:05 p.m.

This is the final of ten games on the year between the Pack and the Bruins, the top affiliate of the Boston Bruins. The Bruins are currently ranked fourth in the Atlantic Division with a record of 41-29-1-5, for 88 points. They are currently trailing the third-ranked Manchester Monarchs by only one point.
Providence's top scorer is center Eric Healey (29 g, 39 a = 68 points in 64 games).
The Pack are 6-2-0-1 on the year vs. Providence, and the Pack won the last matchup between the two teams in a 3-2 shootout win on March 26 in Providence.

Saturday, April 15 vs. Bridgeport at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.

This is the final of ten GEICO Connecticut Cup games on the year between the Pack and the Sound Tigers, the top affiliate of the New York Islanders. The Sound Tigers are currently ranked fourth in the East Division with a record of 38-31-6-3, for 85 points. The presentation of the GEICO Connecticut Cup will take place at tonight's game.
Bridgeport's top scorer is forward Rob Collins, who was returned from the Islanders on April 5th. Collins has 68 points (20 g, 48 a) in 65 games with the Sound Tigers.
The Pack are 6-3-0-0 on the year vs. the Sound Tigers, but Bridgeport won the last three games between the two teams, including a 2-1 win in the last match up, April 8 at Bridgeport.
Tonight is the Wolf Pack's final regular season game and it is Fan Appreciation Night! The first 5,000 people into Saturday's game will receive a Ken Gernander T-Shirt.
In addition, the Wolf Pack will present "Shirts Off Our Backs." Following the conclusion of tonight's game, 19 lucky Wolf Pack fans will be randomly chosen to receive authentic game-worn jerseys, which the Wolf Pack players will autograph & present to the fans.
