Roanoke Dazzle News Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Washington Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has recalled second-year center Peter John Ramos from the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBA Development League.

"P.J. did a very nice job in the D-League," said Grunfeld. "We feel the experience was very beneficial for him, and that this was the proper time to bring him back so that he can be with his teammates and practice with our team."

Ramos was sent to Roanoke on November 14, 2005. In 21 games with the Dazzle, he averaged 14.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 28.1 minutes per game, and he connected on 55.3 percent of his field goal attempts.

Ramos' best effort for Roanoke came in a 119-108 victory over the Fayetteville Patriots on January 16, when he recorded 26 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
