Wizards Get Revenge Against BayHawks

Bismarck, N.D. (Mar. 26, 2012) - For the second straight night the Dakota Wizards put the Erie BayHawks in an early hole, but on Monday night Dakota never let Erie have a chance at a comeback as they cruised to a 99-76 victory. Stefhon Hannah torched the nets once again, finishing the night with 37 points on 5-11 shooting from behind the arc and 14-27 overall.

Dakota relied on their hot hand in the first quarter to jump all over Erie. Stefhon Hannah had that hot hand scoring 19 of his game-high 37 points in the first. The Wizards held an eight point lead heading into the second quarter (29-21). Dakota used five Erie turnovers in the second to push their lead to as many as 18 with just over four minutes left in the half. Erie closed out the half on an 11-4 run to cut Dakota's lead to 11 heading into the locker room (50-39).

Both teams struggled to score in the third but Dakota continued to be the aggressor getting to the line and shooting a perfect 10-10 from the stripe to make it 74-54 with one quarter remaining. Erie and Dakota traded buckets for most of the fourth quarter with the Wizards increasing their lead to 25 wish just under eight minutes left in the game. The BayHawks wouldn't get much closer as the Wizards ran out the clock capturing the 99-76 win.

Warriors' assignee, Chris Wright, finished the night with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Marcus Dove also had a solid night scoring 12 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and swatting 4 shots.

Joey Graham recorded a double-double for Erie in the loss scoring 20 points to go with 13 boards. Jeremy Green chipped in 12 points off the bench.

Dakota improves to 24-20 on the season and reclaims 6th place in the overall standings. Erie drops to 23-21.
