News Release

SASKATOON - Ty Rattie scored the game-winning goal at 8:32 of the third period to lead the Winterhawks to a berth in the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup championship game on Sunday.

A lot of great scoring chances on both sides during the first 20 minutes of play. The Knights outshot the Winterhawks 14-9, but Mac Carruth stoned-walled every shooter.

The Knights opened the scoring at 12:43 on a goal by Max Domi. The lead would be short-lived as Tyler Wotherspoon tied it up approximately two minutes later.

Ty Rattie recorded his fifth goal of the tournament at 8:32. The goal would be the deciding one as London was unabled to tie the score.

The championship game of the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup will see the Portland Winterhawks battle the Halifax Mooseheads on Sunday. The game can be seen live on Sportsnet and TVA Sports starting at 7 pm ET / 8 pm AT.
