Winning Touch Eludes Bowie's Grasp

Bowie Baysox News Release
For a second consecutive day an extra innings affair saw the Baysox on the wrong side of a dramatic finish. Hartford used a two-out game-winning RBI-single by Zach Osborne to upend Bowie 2-1 in 12 innings on Monday night.
In the 12th inning, Ryan McMahon hit the first pitch of the inning from Genison Reyes down the left field line for a double. After a wild pitch allowed McMahon third base, Reyes got a strikeout. He then fell behind Jackson Williams before issuing an intentional walk. With the infield in, Reyes got a chopper to third, McMahon got called off and third baseman Drew Dosch applied a diving tag for a big second out.
That set the table for Osborne. He drove a line drive to left-center. Baysox centerfielder Glynn Davis made a diving effort but could not reel it in and Williams scored the winning run with ease to end it 2-1. It was a fifth walk-off loss in the last seven games for Bowie.
The Baysox got an outstanding start from Chris Lee who worked a season high eight innings leaving in a 1-1 tie. The eight innings is a high for a Baysox starter this season.
Bowie grabbed the lead in the second as Joey Terdoslavich reached on a dropped line drive to left field. He was at third base with two down when Drew Dosch hit an infield single that scored Terdoslavich giving Bowie the lead.
Hartford tied the game after a leadoff double from Rosell Herrera set the table in the bottom of the second inning. He scored on a sacrifice fly from Ashley Graeter.
The Baysox now head for three games in two days in Norwich, CT against the Hartford Yard Goats. First pitch Monday, May 23rd will be at 6:05 p.m. with Chris Lee on the hill. Coverage will begin at 5:45 p.m. on 1430-WNAV and 99.9 FM in Annapolis.
The Baysox return home for Memorial Day Weekend against the Altoona Curve. The four-game series begins Friday, May 27th and includes fireworks, a helicopter candy drop and much, much more! Get tickets now at baysox.com.
