Weekend Recap

Your Aberdeen Wings closed out a December to forget this past Monday night with a 3-2 overtime loss in Brookings. The Weekend began with a trip to Austin, MN for a 2 game set against the Bruins. The Wings dropped Friday nights game 5-0 and lost again Saturday 5-1. Jake Horton Started to scoring with assists going to Dylan Dailey & Tanner Holmquist. After that it was all Bruins. New Years Eve the Wings hit the road again this time taking on in state rivals Brookings. The Wings kept things close and interesting but fell to the Blizzard in overtime. Justin Parizek got the Wings on the board with assists going to Erik Baskin and Peter Krieger. Jon Grebosky tied the game late in the 3rd with a breakaway goal. Upcoming Events

The Aberdeen Wings Coach's Show will be this Monday and every Monday throughout the season. Tune into 107.7 or click on the radio link (Headphones on the bottom right side of the page) @ aberdeenwings.com. Sign up for Winger's Kids Club at home games throughout the season! Open to all kids ages 3-12. For $40 they get into 10 home games, a free Wingers Kids Club T-Shirt, 5 visits to the sundae bar at Max & Erma's. The Wings will also be participating in floor hockey this Tuesday evening at the YMCA.

Upcoming Games

The Wings 8-21-3 Look to put 2012 behind them and start off 2013 the right way. They will be at home this Thursday vs. the Minot Minotauros 16-15-2. They will then take Friday off but be right back at it Saturday night hosting the Coulee Region Chill 8-19-5. As always pre game tickets are on sale now at the Wolf Stop and all 3 C-Express locations. The doors open at 5:30 and the puck drops at 7:15!

Alumni News

Most of the Alumni enjoyed some holiday time off over the past weeks. Cory Ward added to his point total over the weekend with an assists. Cory has 18 games played with 4 goals and 3 assists for the Bemidji State Beavers in his freshman season.
