October 25, 2017 - Southern League (SL) - Pensacola Blue Wahoos
The Blue Wahoos "Wahoos Weekly" includes a letter from owner Quint Studer, Wahooloween, Field of Screams, how you can win a team-signed baseball and where to find the 2017 Billy Hitchcock Championship Trophy!
A Note From Quint Studer
When people now come to Blue Wahoos Stadium, it is hard to believe that just a few months ago, baseball was being played. It is truly a community gathering spot.
When the park and stadium were first discussed over 12 years ago, the goal was to create a place that was a community melting pot that felt like a friendly neighborhood. I hope you feel that way. The stadium is abuzz with activity right now.
With the city deciding not to have a trick or treating event for children, the Blue Wahoos stepped up and we are excited about Wahooloween. Then the Pensacola Little Theatre joined in and now there is also a Field of Screams. Both raise money for good causes in Chain Reaction and the PLT. UWF football and the Soul Bowl are other activities that add to excitement and inclusion of being downtown and at the stadium. A few months back someone connected to Delta State said the Argos have the best football stadium in Division II football. How neat is that?!
The Pensacola EggFest is another wonderful event. For those who may not be aware, most days there are many other events taking place at Blue Wahoos Stadium. There are birthday parties, company picnics, employee training, and a host of other options. These take place in the locker rooms, Better Homes & Garden Main Street Properties Lounge, Hancock Bank Club, Fetterman Field and the entire stadium.
