Willie Reed Named Co-Performer of the Week by NBA Development League

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Springfield Armor, presented by MGM Springfield, forward Willie Reed was named the NBA Development League's Co-Performer of the Week for the period ending March 23, announced by the league Monday afternoon.

Reed averaged 18.3 points and 19.3 rebounds over four games this past week, surpassing the 800 career rebounds mark (818) during his two seasons with the Armor. The 6-9 St. Louis product grabbed 77 rebounds through the four games, including 24 last Monday against the Erie BayHawks which tied the Armor's single-game franchise record, as did his 10 offensive boards in the same game.

Following his Performer of the Week numbers, Reed is now averaging a double-double with 14.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He is currently ranked fifth in the D-League's Prospect Watch rankings. The award is Reed's second of his NBA D-League career, earning the nod the week of March 18, 2013.

Reed shares the honor with Los Angeles' Brandon Costner who averaged 27.0 points per game over three tilts, including 38 last Saturday against Santa Cruz.
