MIDLAND, Texas - For the second consecutive day, the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, got great pitching but suffered a walk-off defeat in Midland, falling 2-1 to the RockHounds Sunday at Security Bank Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS Just as they did on Saturday night, the Rockhounds celebrated in the ninth inning. This time, Max Schrock drove in the game-winning run with an RBI single to right field. Collin Wiles turned in his third consecutive quality start and the Riders' sixth consecutive quality outing. The right-hander yielded one run on eight hits and a walk, while striking out six in 6 2/3 innings The Riders struck first, taking a 1-0 lead on Luke Tendler's RBI groundout in the top of the second. Midland's Argenis Raga tied the game at one in the bottom of the second, driving in a run with a sacrifice fly. Relievers David Ledbetter and Shane McCain worked out of jams in the seventh and eighth, respectively, to keep the game tied heading to the ninth. KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

The quality start from Collin Wiles marked the sixth consecutive quality outing for a Riders starter but Frisco is 1-5 in those games. The Riders went 0-6 with runners in scoring position Sunday and are 0-17 in such situations through the first two games of the series. Frisco is on a season-high five-game losing streak and has lost eight of its last nine games. WHAT'S NEXT
