Moncton Wildcats News Release
MONCTON N.B. - The Moncton Wildcats have traded defenceman Marcus Tesink to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in exchange for the 95th overall, 6th round draft pick this year. Born in Saint John N.B. this was Tesink's first full season in Moncton, appearing in 51 games with the Wildcats. Prior to this, his 2014-2015 season was with the Dieppe Commandos.
Director of Hockey Operations, Roger Shannon had this to say about Tesink. "Marcus is a good player and he will do very well in Cape Breton. We felt that our team needed to make room for one younger defenceman; we know Marcus will do well, and we wish him all the best in Cape."
This 95th overall pick that was acquired will be the fourth pick on Saturday for the Wildcats, and is one of three 6th round picks. The Wildcats would like to wish Marcus all the best in this next phase of his hockey career with the Screaming Eagles.
