Wildcats Pleased to Announce 2016 Hubcity Showcase

MONCTON N.B. - The Moncton Wildcats and the QMJHL are proud to announce the 2016 Hubcity Showcase being held right here in Moncton from August 19th to 21st. This is the inaugural year for this new tournament format where fans will see Moncton play host to all six Maritime division teams from the QMJHL. Fans will be able to see the Wildcats rookies, mainly from the 2015 and 2016 draft classes, compete against the other Maritime teams best. Each team will play three games, one per day with the championship being on Sunday. The tournament will be held at the Superior Propane Centre in Moncton. Fans can expect to see a much more exciting training camp than in the past. Participating teams include: Bathurst, Saint John, Charlottetown, Halifax and Cape Breton.
"We are very excited to play host to this inaugural event here in Moncton," said Ryan Jenner, Director of Business Operations. "This will be an exciting weekend for fans to see how our rookies stack up against the other teams in our division. It is also great to showcase Moncton as the Hub of the Maritimes and the many fantastic things there are to do here. We are sure that the fans and families of the other teams will enjoy their stay here in Moncton!"
