South Georgia Wildcats News Release

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Make-a-Wish Foundation’s local wish families will join the Cape Fear Wildcats at football practice at the Crown Coliseum on Thursday, May 10.

This is the first event ever held in Fayetteville by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In the past, Fayetteville children and their families had to travel to Raleigh to participate in the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The event will begin at 5pm with player introductions and a few words from Wildcats head coach Chris Siegfried. The Wish kids and their families will then watch the Wildcats practice and prepare for Friday nightÂ’s home game against the Charleston Swamp Foxes. After practice they will share pizza and sign autographs with Wildcats players and coaches.

The event has been made possible by DominoÂ’s Pizza, a national partner of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and by Wal-Mart on Skibo Road.

The Wildcats take on the Charleston Swamp Foxes this Friday night at the Cumberland County Crown Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm. The block party begins at 5:30pm in the Crown parking lot. Tickets are available at the Crown Coliseum box office and at all Ticketmaster outlets. For more information call 222-WILD or visit CATSFOOTBALL.com. Catch the Fever!
