WHL Playoffs Set
March 18, 2009 - Western Hockey League (WHL) News Release
Calgary, AB - The Western Hockey League has announced the opening dates for the first-round playoff series for the following playoff match-ups.
The final series was confirmed Tuesday night with Edmonton's 2-1 Overtime victory in Prince Albert, in what was the WHL's first tiebreaker game since 1990.
Among the series set to begin this weekend has the Brandon Wheat Kings battling the Kootenay Ice.
The 2009 WHL Playoffs will begin on Thursday, March 19.
