Whitecaps Playoff Tickets on Sale Wednesday

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Tickets to Game 1 of the West Michigan Whitecaps 2016 playoffs, presented by Little Caesars, will go on sale Wednesday, July 13 at 10 a.m. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 at 6:35 p.m. against the South Bend Cubs, and is the only game guaranteed to be played at Fifth Third Ballpark during the playoffs. The defending Midwest League Champion Whitecaps clinched a playoff berth by virtue of the first-half Eastern Division wildcard bid.

Ticket prices will be the same as regular season game tickets: $15.00 for premium box seats, $13.00 for box seats, $11.50 for reserved seats, $7.00 for lawn seats and $100 for a Safeco 4Topps table of four. Groups of 20 or more qualify for discounted ticket prices, and those can be purchased beginning Wednesday as well. Luxury suites and hospitality deck areas are currently on sale.

The best-of-three first round of the Midwest League playoffs will then shift to South Bend for Games 2 and 3 (if necessary). If the Whitecaps win the first-round series, they will advance to the best-of-three second round and play Game 1 on the road, followed by Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) at home on Sunday, September 11 and Monday, September 12. If they advance through the second round, they would play for a second straight Midwest League Championship in a best-of-five series, with Game 3, Game 4 (if necessary) and Game 5 (if necessary) at home on September 17-19.

The Whitecaps will be offering our normal Thrifty Thursday specials: $2.00 20 oz. beers, $2.00 hot dogs and $2.00 Pepsi products for all home playoff games.

Playoff tickets for Game 1 will go on sale Wednesday, July 13 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at www.whitecapsbaseball.com, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, or in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark box office window inside the CapSized Shop. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as during home games. As soon as the Whitecaps clinch a second-round berth, tickets for Game 2 of the second round will go on sale.
