Whitecaps Offer $5 Tickets for Season Finale

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Reserved seat tickets for the West Michigan Whitecaps' 2012 final regular-season home game will be offered for a very special $5 price to the general public.
Tomorrow, August 28, fans can purchase reserved seat tickets to the Monday, September 3 Labor Day finale for the special price of just $5 each - more than half off the regular $10.50 price.
The Labor Day season finale is a 1 p.m. start time against the Dayton Dragons.
Tickets will be available at the special price at the Fifth Third Ballpark ticket office or by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131 starting at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 28. Fans will be able to take advantage of the special through midnight Friday at www.whitecapsbaseball.com
The Whitecaps are in the heat of a playoff race, sitting just two games behind Fort Wayne and Lake County and two games ahead of South Bend with a pair of playoff spots up for grabs over the final eight games of the regular season. The team is on the road for two more games in Dayton starting tonight.
The Dragons expect to host a rehab stint by Major League All-Star and 2010 National League MVP Joey Votto on Tuesday night against the Whitecaps. On Wednesday, the Whitecaps head to Fort Wayne for three games before returning home to close out the season with a three-game homestand against Dayton starting Saturday, September 1.
The Outback Steakhouse Labor Day Weekend will feature the final fireworks show of the season Saturday, September 1. Sunday, September 2 is the last Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Day and the first 1,000 kids 12 & under eat free, fans can play catch and get autographs on the field pre-game and post-game all kids 12 & under get to run the bases courtesy of Bob Evans. Monday's regular season finale is the last JQ99 All Faiths Day.
