Wet Field Conditions Postpones Shuckers, BayBears Again Friday

MOBILE, AL. - Friday's scheduled doubleheader between the Biloxi Shuckers and Mobile BayBears has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile. The first contest on Friday, scheduled for 4:35 pm was postponed to just one game at 7:05 pm. After a 1 hour, 25 minute delay, the field was deemed unplayable.
The two clubs will now play a Saturday doubleheader, featuring two seven inning games, beginning at 5:05 pm. The final game of the series, originally scheduled for Saturday night will be made up when the Shuckers return to Mobile in late May.
Saturday at 5:05 pm will be the first time the BayBears and Shuckers have taken the field since Wednesday's 9-3 victory by Mobile at MGM Park in Biloxi. The Shuckers won the opener of the series on Tuesday at MGM Park, 2-1 in 13 innings.
The Shuckers return to MGM Park on Sunday and open a five-game series against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
Saturday's probable starting pitchers for the Shuckers are RHP Adrian Houser (0-1, 10.50) in game one and LHP Wei-Chung Wang (0-0, 1.59) in game two. Mobile will send out RHP Matt Koch (0-1, 1.29) in game one and a yet to be determined starter in game two. Coverage of Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 4:45 pm on WGCM AM-1240, 100.9-FM, WPMO AM-1580 and the Shuckers Radio Network.
