ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with an 8-36-4-0 record (6-15-3-0 at home, 2-21-1-0 on the road, 3-4 in overtime, 0-0 in shootouts) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE will finish with a record below the .500 mark for the first time since the 1998-99 campaign, ending a WHL record 16 year run of seasons with a .500 or better record (1999-2015)...KOOTENAY will play its next two games away from home beginning with a matchup in RED DEER January 29.

ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 22 players (two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of two 1995-born players, two 1996-born players, ten 1997-born players, seven 1998-born players and one 1999-born player...KOOTENAY has ten first-year players on its roster.

2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS: Take advantage of great deals with KOOTENAY ICE 2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS this season...At every Tuesday regular season home game, fans can enjoy 2 FOR 1 deals on walk-up tickets and select concession items from COYOTE JACK'S...The next 2 FOR 1 TUESDAY is February 2 when the ICE host the EDMONTON OIL KINGS.

FAN BUS: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB has organized a FAN BUS to see the ICE take on the SPOKANE CHIEFS February 13...Bus trip packages are $75.00 for FAN CLUB members and $85.00 for non-members and include transportation and tickets to the game...For more information, visit the FAN CLUB TABLE during upcoming home games or contact CAROLIN at 250-417-6593.

DID YOU KNOW: SHANE ALLAN scored his first career WHL goal January 22 versus SPOKANE...ZAK ZBOROSKY is four points shy of 100 career points...ZBOROSKY equaled his career high for goals in a season (18) January 22 against the CHIEFS...JESSE ZAHARICHUK has amassed points in his last eight games (3-8-11), equaling the longest point streak by any ICE player this season (LUKE PHILP - October 20 - November 7)...ZAHARICHUK scored his first career power-play goal January 22 versus SPOKANE...RIVER BEATTIE appeared in his 100th career regular season game January 23 against the CHIEFS...TANNER LISHCHYNSKY is one game short of 150 career appearances...WYATT HOFLIN is four games played shy of 150 career appearances...VINCE LOSCHIAVO is three appearances shy of 100 career games played...KOOTENAY is the only team in the WHL to have not appeared in a shootout this season.

GAME TIME CHANGE: The home game to be played Wednesday, February 10 versus the TRI-CITY AMERICANS will now begin at the regular start time of 7:00 pm, instead of 12:00 pm.

INJURIES: Forward AUSTIN GRAY will be out of the ICE lineup one week with an upper body injury...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 48 games of the 2014-15 season the ICE were 25-22-0-1, after 49 games 26-22-0-1 and after 50 games 26-23-0-1.
