ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 6-28-2-0 record (5-10-2-0 at home, 1-18-0-0 on the road, 3-2 in overtime, 0-0 in shootouts) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...KOOTENAY will return from the holiday break with a home matchup versus the CALGARY HITMEN December 27.

HOLIDAY OFFICE CLOSURE: The KOOTENAY ICE Office will be closed Monday, December 21 through Saturday, December 26 for the holiday break...The WESTERN FINANCIAL PLACE Box Office will open at 10:00 am Sunday, December 27 for game day ticket sales.
ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 24 players (two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 14 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of three 1995-born players, two 1996-born players, 11 1997-born players, seven 1998-born players and one 1999-born player...KOOTENAY has nine first-year players on its roster.
2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS: KOOTENAY ICE 2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS are back!...At every Tuesday regular season home game, fans can enjoy 2 FOR 1 deals on walk-up tickets and select concession items from COYOTE JACK'S...The next 2 FOR 1 TUESDAY is January 12 when the ICE host the SASKATOON BLADES.
DID YOU KNOW: JESSE ZAHARICHUK scored his first goal as a member of the ICE December 19 in EDMONTON...AUSTIN GRAY scored his first career WHL goal December 18 at RED DEER...NOAH PHILP recorded his first career multi-point game (two assists) December 15 against the REBELS...PHILP scored his first career WHL goal December 8 in PRINCE GEORGE...Forward MATT ALFARO recorded his first multi-point game of the season December 18 in RED DEER...DYLAN STEWART is one appearance shy of 100 career games played...CALE FLEURY is five games short of 100 career appearances...WYATT HOFLIN is ranked second among WHL netminders, and first among EASTERN CONFERENCE goaltenders in saves with 801...The ICE are one of two WHL teams (TRI-CITY) that have yet to participate in a shootout this season...KOOTENAY has lost 149 man-games to injury through 36 games played this season.
TRANSACTION / INJURIES: KOOTENAY has released Defenseman TYLER KING to the ESTEVAN BRUINS of the SASKATCHEWAN JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE...Forward DYLAN STEWART will be out of the ICE lineup one week with an upper body injury...Forward ROMAN DYMACEK will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup two to four weeks with a lower body injury...Forward VINCE LOSCHIAVO will be out of the ICE lineup two to four weeks with a lower body injury...Defenseman TANNER LISHCHYNSKY will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury...Forward LUKE PHILP will be out of the ICE lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with an upper body injury.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 36 games of the 2014-15 season the ICE were 19-17-0-0, after 37 games 20-17-0-0 and after 38 games 20-17-0-1.
